With a little more “me time” on my hands, I'm wanting to do more murals. I've done big ones, small ones, ceilings, faux finishes, copies and my own designs. Please contact me if you're interested in a consultation.
A short while ago I was discussing my work with a friend and she pointed out how my art work is much like a pregnancy. I readily agreed and made the connection that an idea implants in my mind, grows and gestates until out pops several pieces that are interconnected and related to me and my experiences – just like a baby. Going back to my earlier artistic days before having children, I really felt like my pieces were my babies minus the birthing process. I had a hard time letting my artwork go, whether I gave them as gifts or sold them. I always wanted to live with them and watch them grow. I love looking back at the different series I've created over the past 15 years, seeing the progression from one to the next. But now, having actually had the birthing experience with real babies, I feel more compelled to get my work out of my home/studio much like the groundwork I'm laying for my children to someday leave the nest themselves.
This website is a part of that process.
